aircraft noise. Here are a few pollution prevention tips:
- Recycle used oil, tires and batteries. Used oil stations are available on McKinney National Airport property.
- Wash aircraft on a McKinney National Airport-approved outdoor wash rack or inside a hangar equipped with floor drains connected to the sanitary sewer system.
- Dispose of hangar floor wash water in the sanitary sewer.
- Dispose of trash properly.
- Cover trash receptacles and put all garbage inside dumpster.
- Properly dispose of anti-freeze, hydraulic fluid and other hazardous materials.
- Do not "top off" fuel tanks to avoid expansion and spillage in warm summer months.
- Purchase a strainer to sump fuel and re-use uncontaminated Avgas.
- Always use a drip pan during maintenance activities.
- Obtain McKinney National Airport's Spill Response Procedures and respond to spills immediately.
